Tech, automotive or pharma companies travel to the Spanish capital city each year in order to celebrate their meetups. While hotel and transportation are the first things to arrange, the get together part, often described as a teambuilding, is hired at last. In this sense, a graffiti challenge in Madrid might be the creative and collaborative experience that could help a group of people enjoy the business event in a completely different way.
There exist several activities that you could choose among our services, ie Flamenco workshop, tapas cooking, Santiago Bernabeu tour, among others. However, we will now inform you about the characteristicis of our best seller. FYI, a totally hands-on project.
Is a graffiti challenge in Madrid a creative teambuilding?
If we had to justify why a graffiti challenge in Madrid is the perfect and most creative activity for a group of professionals, we would refer to the different skills involved in order to convince you hiring us!
As it is not required to have previous knowledge on the field, it’s very easy to engage those who have never touched a spray can before, as well as the groups’ brainstormers. Please note that there is a design previously arranged, and guests will not have to improvise what to paint. Rather than that, they will have to complete both group and individual workstations.
Moreover, professional street art and graffiti professionals will help and diret you while on the ‘competition’ part. That’s the moment of the activity that guests usually enjoy the most. Giving a spray can to an adult is similar to offering a highspeed way to a car lover.
Indoors vs. outdoors artistic projects

Those groups, whose main activities take place at a hotel located within the city center, should note that we could pick you up at the hotel’s lobby. We’d appreciate that you were already divided in groups of 15-20 to start the graffiti challenge in Madrid.
As long as you count with the permission to host the experience at one of the hotel rooms hired, we could develop it there. On the other hand, we perfectly know that you would rather celebrate the event away from the place where the companies’ meeting takes place. Consequently, there are different places where to celebrate a unique activity.
For instance, these are some of the spots that we would recommend you checking.
- Espacio Rastro Madrid. Located at the heart of the city; it could host up to 300 people at the same time.
- ECOOO. Don’t miss its’ terrace for a Spring, Summer, or early Autumn teambuilding.
- Usera/ Carabanchel districts in the outskirts. Check out 95 Art Gallery, Espacio Duo Amazonas or Espacio Oculto.
Who are the professional street art artists in charge of the graffiti challenge in Madrid?

It was 8 years ago when we started organizing the graffiti challenge in Madrid, and our numbers continue rising. Companies from all over the world observe how the Spanish capital city featurres all requirements: flight connections, great accommodation opportunities, chill weather and a wide range of cultural/artistic activities offered.
Cooltourspain was created by Javier Garcia, and a team of in-house professionals who are passionate about what they do. They all speak English and Spanish, and a third language. For instance, German, Italian, or French. Furthermore, they graduated either in Art History, or Fine Arts, with a specialization on modern/contemporary art (street art included).
You should be aware that one of our Cooltourspain team members will offer you a free inspection visit if you belong to a DMC/MICE agency. That will be the perfect way to get to know how do we work.
What’s the outcome at the end of the teambuilding?

Despite the fact that you doubted about your coworkers’ artistic skills, you should note that the graffiti challenge in Madrid will have an amazing outcome. We set two objectives, following an artsy purpose.
- First of them is the group’s joy. Although you may think that the following comment might be odd, “we pretend working the least”. It’s true that we’ll be there for you, and we will teach you, but it’s your duty to paint. We’ll help you on the task.
- Secondly, the design’s achievement. Please take into consideration that there exists a previously arranged sketch, and you’ll have to paint and complete it before the time lasts. Don’t panic, you’ll make it.

What are the presents that guests will take home after the workshop?
As there are no better words than an image, please check the above Youtube video. It’ll help you better understand what’s the graffiti challenge in Madrid about. On one hand, all participants will join a collaborative workstation, but on the other side, you’ll take a present home.
Each guest will receive a 38×42 cm cotton tote bag, to be decorated individually using the artist’s instructions. You’ll use acrylic spray paint of different colors, masking tape and tailored/recycled stencils. All these materials set the second teambuilding’s workstation.
At last, the whole group will take a picture in front of the mural. If participants show their interest, you could also compete for whose is the most creative and artistic design. He/she could receive a special present from any of the local street art artists involved in the activity.
This is the price for a graffiti challenge in Madrid

A graffiti challenge in Madrid costs 65€ + taxes per person, and there is a minimum of participants required. Moreover, you should consider adding an extra fee above that quote, if you’re contacting us from an events’ agency. Generally, these planners usually add a 20% commission.
Payments are set at a 50-50 base. This means that a first non-refundable payment will be processed in order to block the date & time in our calendars. Similarly, we’ll send you the artworks’ design for its approval. Later, we’ll start purchasing materials and book the venue. At last, we’ll ask for the remaining payment on the week before the event takes place.
You should also note that we don’t cancel because of rain. In the case scenario that a certain number of guests do not participate in the teambuilding, we will adjust the quote on the last invoice.
According to Spanish law “37/1992, article 69, number one” no 21% VAT will be added to overseas companies. Spanish companies do also have to comply with the -15% IRPF.
Personnel activities in other cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga…

Last but not least, companies who yearly organize their personnel activities might be interested in knowing that the graffiti challenge in Madrid is also possible in other cities along the Spanish territory. Our underground culture is closely linked, and it’s very easy to observe professional relationships between freelance street art artists who share the same values that we do.
This is a list of venues where the workshops could take place:
- Barcelona: Three Chymneys parks (Av. Paralel and Poble Nou) or Espronceda Institute of Arts.
- Málaga: La Fábrica at SOHO district
- Valencia: La fábrica de hielo at El Cabanyal district (former fishermens’ village)
- Bilbao: La Terminal in Zorrozaurre district
Cooltourspain’s opinion about the graffiti challenge in Madrid
We love what we do. It all started as a free-time activity while we still had our regular jobs (teaching, sales, computing…) After a while, the graffiti challenge in Madrid gave us enough income as to quit from what we did back then.
Right now, both the street art tours and the workshops are hired by large companies and small groups of friends/families who think that they could spend a nice time with us while in town.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you soon, and organizing an unforgettable moment. Share this life-lasting memory with your peers.
