Have you ever wondered how many startups are created in Spain every year? We would say over 3.000 businesses (out of a rough guess) but the question we should ask ourselves is… How many of them are investing in the digital transformation? We will let you know how our street art ecommerce project is creating an impact into Madrid’s tourism industry, what are the reasons for us to run an idea like this and the benefits of being the first graffity company offering daily tours & graffiti workshops in town. Let’s see how it was all done!
When was our street art ecommerce project launched?
Cooltourspain’s business idea was first developed in the US. IT received the name of ‘Holaspaintour’ and offered trips from the United States to Spain. These experiences included flights, accommodation, tours, guides and insurance. It all started in 2015 but it was not successful at all.
Next, we organized walking tours in Madrid. People joined in our instagram page and after couple of months developing these urban art and history tours we sent a survey to our guests asking for their opinion. People mentioned to forget the history part and focus only in graffiti. It was by that time when our street art ecommerce project started to grow and thanks to the effort we put on the blog, we are now the #1 graffiti tours in Madrid.

How has the street art ecommerce project succeded?
It has been thanks to the commitment and the dedication of the guides and graffiti writers who collaborate with us that this street art ecommerce project has succeeded. We are very proud of the reviews that people left at any of our partners or distribution channels: airbnb, tripadvisor, facebook, getyourguide or like a local. As we continue to grow, we are working towards traslating our website into Spanish and French. Cooltourspain is observing how people are participating in our experiences thanks to the recommendation of friends and relatives. Not only they do come from Spain but from other countries such as Israel. Totally amazing!

Why should you participate in a street art ecommerce project like this?
After receiving more than 1.000 visits over the past year, we would recommend you participate at any of the graffiti workshops we offer. The street art ecommerce project we run will put you in touch with the local community of artists. La Tabacalera is one of our must-visit recommended spots. It is a XIX century former tobacco factory which is now turned into a social/community hub. Another of the reasons to be part of our experiences is that we will show you the history of one of the most beautiful community urban gardens in Madrid called Esto es una Plaza. As you may have seen, the works and effort that we put on the internet is then observed on the go. Come and join our graffity community!
